8-Bit Author Tournament

"Ready to Fight!" 8-Bit Author Tournament originally started Early 2016 as an open-ended comic where authors could create/use created characters to fight in one-on-one battles. Today, the comic has evolved into its own kind of experience, featuring new faces, old locations, and questions better left unanswered.

You used drawings instead of pixels and even a panel from your comic.
Are you allowed to do that, Blu?

Reply bluefiredragon, May 19th, 2016, 8:50 am

@SilverNinetales: Yeah, if you look at the other fight, Casey did it too.

it's all chill

Reply Brawlitup99, May 19th, 2016, 3:58 pm

@SilverNinetales: Yep! All styles are allowed, as long as they coincide with the other Sykes used. Casey v Refrigertae Part 2 did the same.

-speaking of speech bubbles keep them consistently colored
-also, why are you resizing sprites/backgrounds with interpolation on? what program do you use?

Reply Psukeo, May 20th, 2016, 11:22 am

@Cascade:
-why
-i don't have a auto bubble generator
-this is what happens when i take several days to do the whole comic making thing and i forget the rgb code i used for the bubble
-manga studio 4 Debut. I tried looking for a way to turn this off, but i couldn't find one.

@bluefiredragon:
-because you can do way better with way less effort
-then use a better program
-see above
-for the most part if you use a program meant for drawing real comics for making sprite comics youre making a huge mistake. try gimp, photoshop, or pdn instead

@Cascade (didnt log in lmaoo):
-too bad i don't care(EDIT: well actually i do care, the only problem is that the effects are reaching their full effect because i have to get the img quality to 50% just to be able to upload this to sj)
-i'm running out of space on my computer, no room to download another program
-see above
-see 2 lines above
